So we all have dreams. Dreams of things we want to do, achievements we’d like to attain and of courses places, we’d like to travel to. After all, this world is a big and wonderful place.

Personally, I have the dream of traveling to space one day. To see Saturn in all its glory, with its rings. Maybe not now though, because am not sure there are places for employers to post jobs on Saturn just yet. Hopefully, this will be possible in the new future, seeing that the plan here is to find jobs that pay for the travel. Fact is, I love to travel and if you’re like me, money is the biggest barrier to actually traveling to all those wonderful destinations around the world.

But Guess what?

There is a more strategic and financially savvy approach to traveling. That can guarantee you travel all over the world and actually get paid doing it.

But, I didn’t know this when I first traveled to Cairo. For this, I had to transform myself into a money-saving and change hoarding machine. Believe me, no word of a lie. I came this close to actually starving myself to death. But like the saying goes, where there is a will there is a way.

So I decided to do some digging found out there are dozens of jobs available where you are paid to travel. Or, you are able to find jobs on the go, if not work remotely to pay for your travel.

To imagine many people have been taking advantage of this, and living the reality I have been busy dreaming of for so many years. If you love traveling as much as I do, then I trust you will find this list very helpful. Here I present the list of 15 jobs most suitable to people who love to travel, I hope you like it but even more importantly you do something with it.

Peace Corps Volunteer

So you have a good heart and you love to make some good in this world. But you can’t afford to ignore all your dreams. Why not marry the two by joining the Peace Corps. It is the ideal option. Basically, you get to sign up for two years and travel to a specific location to help the Peace Corps in its humanitarian duties. So it’s not exactly, a sight-seeing option but you are sure to get to know different parts of the world.

Income: $314 per month plus food & accommodation

Bartender / Server

Lucky to have some serious cocktail mixing skills? This might be just the thing you need. Almost every country in the world has a bar. And bartenders are always in demand. Therefore, this might just be what you need. Fortunately enough, all most every student has had some experience in bar works. With this, you can get your food through many doors in many countries and make some good money too.

Income: $1000 – $4000 per month

Truck Driver

If you are always up for some good old fashioned road trip then you must consider the truck driver job. It has long hours and is mostly lonely, but let’s look at the bright side. You really get to see and appreciate the country and of course make some good cash.

Income: about $40,000 per year

Ski or Scuba Instructor

Some way the true beauty of creation lies in the depths of the oceans. Haven’t seen for myself, but if you fancy depth sea diving in places like the great barrier reef in Australia or Wanaka. But, hasn’t got the cash for such trips then you could take up a job as a Ski or Scuba instructor. However, really need to sharpen your skills.

Income: $1000 – $4000 per month


Now, those of us very fluent in a second language have an upper hand here. So if you confident of your imperatives and vocatives, and have the certifications to back it. Then you got to take advantage and use your skills to finance your travels. An interpreter job will take you all over the world, staying at top luxurious hotels but mostly depends on your employer.

English as Second Language (ESL) Teacher

This is one of the jobs that gets you to work practically anywhere in the world. After all, English is the most widely spoken language in the world. Professional travel and photography have become a very profitable endeavor over the years. So selling your pictures from around the world might help fuel your passion for photography and carry you to more amazing places around the world than you can think of. It involves a lot of hard work though.

Income: $1000 – $10,000 per month

Commercial Airline Pilot

If you are one who fancies a couple of days; about two to three days in cities around the world and makes a lot of money while at it. Then you need to enroll and train as a commercial airline pilot. This is the job with the highest income on the list. And if the traveling a good enough motivation, then the money sure is. The median wage for the average pilot is $100,000.
